Care Instructions
Taking good care of your leather gear is one of the best ways to make it last for years and feel even better with time. A well-maintained piece doesn’t just stay in great condition — it becomes softer, more supple, and develops its own unique character with every use.
Here are some simple, effective tips to help you keep your favorite items looking and feeling their best for a long time.
Leather Goods:
Cleaning & Conditioning: For regular care, we recommend using a quality saddle soap as it effectively cleans and conditions the leather in one step. Good options include Fiebings Saddle Soap and Bick 4 Saddle Soap. Apply with a damp cloth or sponge, work into a light lather, then wipe clean. This removes dirt, oils, and residue while helping maintain the leather’s natural suppleness.
Important: Avoid shoe polish or any products containing dyes, as they can stain or discolor the leather over time.
Alternative for Quick Cleaning: Leather care wipes are excellent for quick touch-ups between deeper cleanings.
Drying: Air dry naturally away from direct heat or sunlight. Never use a hair dryer or radiator.
Storage: Store in a cool, dry place. Hang harnesses or use breathable dust bags. Avoid plastic bags, which can trap moisture.
Metal Hardware, Buckles & Rings:
General Maintenance: Wipe hardware, buckles, and rings regularly with a soft, dry cloth to remove fingerprints, oils, and residue.
Deep Cleaning: For deeper cleaning, use a mild metal polish such as Brasso, or a damp cloth with a small amount of dish soap. Dry thoroughly immediately after cleaning.
Important Notes: Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and moisture, as this can cause tarnishing and discoloration. Also avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, which can scratch or dull the finish.
Silicone Gags:
Cleaning: Wash thoroughly with warm water and mild soap or a dedicated toy cleaner. Silicone is non-porous and cleans very easily.
Tip: If you are already using a spray-on glycerine-based saddle soap (like Fiebings) for your leather care, it also works quite well on the silicone gags.
Drying: Allow the item to air dry completely before storing.
Storage: All our gags are made from high-quality platinum-catalyst silicone. This means that they can be safely stored together without fear of color bleed, sticking, or degradation.
Note: Silicone excels at gathering dust and lint, so it’s always a good idea to give the gag a quick wipe with a clean damp cloth before use.
Insertable Toys:
Cleaning: Wash thoroughly with warm water and mild soap or a dedicated toy cleaner. Silicone is non-porous and cleans very easily.
Disinfection: For thorough sanitization, most of our silicone toys can be boiled for 3–5 minutes or placed on the top rack of a dishwasher (no detergent needed).
Drying: Allow the item to air dry completely before storing.
Lubricant Warning: Do not use silicone-based lubricants with these toys, as they can cause the silicone to degrade over time. Water-based lubricants are recommended instead.
Storage: All our toys are made from high-quality platinum-catalyst silicone. This means our silicone toys can be safely stored together without fear of color bleed, sticking, or degradation.
Dust & Lint Note: Silicone excels at gathering dust and lint, so it’s always a good idea to give the toy a quick wipe with a clean cloth before use.
